Country

Academic Excellence

The United States has one of the world’s finest university systems, with outstanding programs in virtually all fields. At the undergraduate level, excellent programs exist in traditional disciplines, as well as in professional fields. At the graduate level, students have the opportunity to work directly with some of the finest minds in their field of study, with the chance to become involved with exclusive research and educational opportunities. U.S. degrees are recognized throughout the world for their excellence.

Variety of Educational Opportunities

The United States is home to several thousand colleges and universities, boasting at least ten times as many campuses as in any other country. As a result, the higher education system in the U.S. has something for everyone. Some U.S. colleges and universities stress broad educational principles; others emphasize practical, employment-related skills; and still others specialize in the arts, social sciences or technical fields. This means that no matter what you plan on studying, you will have a wide variety of programs in your particular field from which to choose.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Universities in the U.S. pride themselves on being at the forefront of technology, research and techniques, and in making the best possible equipment and resources available to their students. Even if your field does not directly involve science or engineering, you will have opportunities to become skilled in using the latest technology to conduct research, as well as obtain and process information. You will find ways to stay connected with researchers, teachers and experts in your field all over the world.

In Europe, Germany is the most popular destination for international students due to International Degree Programmes (IDP) taught in English medium, tuition fee waivers and career opportunities after graduation. Germany tops the list of the most internationalised countries in the higher education arena. It has a lot to offer with more than 400 state and private universities, and a variety of courses. Most German universities are sponsored by the state to keep fees affordable, and there are a growing number of scholarships available.

Studying in Germany is not restricted to the German medium alone. Over 1500 IDPs offer courses that are entirely or partly taught in English. Degrees in Germany are offered in the two-tier international system of bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with credits for attendance and examination passes that can be accumulated and transferred. The German university landscape is highly diverse, comprising around sixty academies of art and music, many of them world-renowned, roughly 120 universities – some very traditional institutions amongst them – plus at least 160 Fachhochschulen (FH for short), or universities of applied science, which have established over the past thirty years or so.

Canada’s high academic standards and rigorous quality controls mean that you’ll be earning a high-quality education that will open doors for your future and benefit your career over the long term. A Canadian degree, diploma or certificate is globally recognized as being equivalent to those obtained from the United States or Commonwealth countries.

The quality of education and living standards in Canada are amongst the highest in the world, but the cost of living and tuition fees for international students are generally lower than in other countries. Canada is often the preferred choice for students attending college or university.

Canada’s post-secondary campuses aren’t only wired with the latest in sophisticated technology, but countless other modern amenities as well. Since research is one of the key components of a Canadian post-secondary education, you’ll have ample opportunity to become a part of this vibrant aspect of education. In Canada, government and industry together support research including: telecommunications, medicine, agriculture, computer technology, and environmental science.

Australia has the third highest number of international students in the world behind only the United Kingdom and the United States despite having a population of only 23 million? This isn’t surprising when you consider Australia has seven of the top 100 universities in the world! In fact, with over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions, Australia sits above the likes of Germany, the Netherlands and Japan, ranking eighth in the Universitas 2012 U21 Ranking of National Higher Education Systems.

These are strong academic credentials, but our institutions are just as highly rated as the cities that house them around the country. Australia has five of the 30 best cities in the world for students based on student mix, affordability, quality of life, and employer activity – all important elements for students when choosing the best study destination.

There is every chance Australia has you covered, with at least one Australian university in the top 50 worldwide across the study areas of Natural Sciences & Mathematics, Life & Agricultural Sciences, and Physics .Given this impressive education pedigree, it’s not surprising there are now more than 2.5 million former international students who have gone on to make a difference after studying in Australia. The practical parts of your degree will be more pronounced in a University of Applied Sciences degree than at a Research University.

Dutch universities are very forward thinking in their approach to education; their most important objective is to provide you with the skills and knowledge you will need later in your career. Dutch Universities of Applied Sciences place great emphasis on giving students the chance to develop their capabilities in areas such as teamwork, communication and presentation skills.
